As 2017 is the here and now, I always take some time to think about my goals. While I am a firm believer in you don’t need a new year for a new start, I can’t help but feel inspired as the calendar ticks over another year.
In my recent post about how to make your 2017 Goals your Bitch, you can read on my usual plan of action when it comes to goal setting and achieving. You’ll notice that one of the tips is making yourself accountable to other people, so here I am! Making myself accountable to you, dear Reader, with my Goals for 2017.
I want to be more active in 2017. While I certainly was a lot more active this year past then previous, I still have A LOT of room for improvement. In 2017, I want to get to gym three times a week. No excuses. In the past I’ve started going 5 times, then 4, 2 and then I always fall off the wagon and go back to my old ways. Taking the small step and keeping my three times consistent then I will be happy. My first milestone will be doing it for the entire month of January, wish me luck!
Another goal I have is for the blog, and extended social media channels. I am hoping to refine my focus, keep up with blog posts and try to ensure that I stay motivated throughout the year. I have set myself some milestones throughout the year for this long term goal, so I am hoping that my inspired state is not short lived. As a small favour, I’d also love to hear more from you readers, to find out what kind of content you love, what you’d like to see more of, that sort of thing.
For the past few years (who I am kidding, much longer than that!) I’ve been putting my hair through hell. While I do treatments and try my best to limit the damages of bleach, I think it’s time to give my hair a break. I decided to grow my hair out to my natural colour. In 2014, I dyed my hair brunette, but there was no hiding the damage of my hair under the brown dye. Growing out the bleach is going to be far from pretty, but I am hoping a trip to the hairdresser will ease the pain a little.
If you’ve read my December 2016 Favourites, you will know that I loved the documentary Minimalism. I’ve been interested in living a more minimal lifestyle lately, especially after reading The Life Changing Art of Tidying-Up by Marie Kondo. It’s only after watching this documentary that gave me a real kick to get started. I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with you on here, so let me know if you are also interested in minimalism!
What are your goals for 2017?
