Another Good Green Box run down and first impressions for you guys! I thoroughly enjoyed last month’s Good Green Box goodies so I was stoked when I was lucky enough to receive another from the brand to share with you guys.
The April Box is chock-full of goodies this month, ranging from beauty to hygiene to tea!
First up, the Nuori Vital Foaming Cleanser (RRP $50.00) is a Scandinavian brand that has been taking the world by storm with their brand’s idea of freshness. This brand focuses ‘small batch beauty’ and the shelf life of products. The use of preservatives and time can reduce the effectiveness of the product, including essential oils, vitamins and minerals, which this brand is combating head on. If you’re interested, read a little more about the founder here. I am a sucker for a foaming cleanser, and this cleanser does not disappoint. It leaves your skin feeling clean without that stripped “over-cleansed” feeling you can sometimes get with foaming products.
Cruelty Free – YES! Vegan – YES! Natural – YES!
Next, the Zuanna Cosmetics Soothing Minerals Exfoliating Mask (RRP $38.00) is a 3-in-1 gentle exfoliating cleanser or face mask with Moroccan Ghassoul clay, orange peel powder and liquorice root. Formulated to target acne/problematic skin, it comes in powdered form, so just add a little water and you’re good to go!
Cruelty Free – YES! Vegan – YES! Aussie – YES!
The Moo Goo Cow Lick Lip Balm (RRP $4.50) is another addition in the box, and I am actually using up a tube of this in my handbag right now! I am choosing a vegan lip balm (without beeswax) for my next purchase, so I will be passing this one onto a friend to use. Despite not being vegan friendly, it’s a pretty great lip balm if you’re on the search for one that’s natural, cruelty free and Australian owned.
Cruelty Free – YES! Natural – YES! Vegan – no. Aussie – YES!
Now I’m going to be honest, I won’t be reviewing the Organyc Feminine Hygiene either, only because I am a menstrual cup convert (let me know if you want a blog post on this, I have no idea where the limits are on TMI these days). But, checking over these pads, they look to be a pretty good sort! Great for emergencies to pop into your bag if you are also a cup user. They are biodegradable, chlorine free and plastic free, so a lot better for the environment than regular pads!d
Natural – YES! Organic – YES!
Next up, the Keeko Oil Charcoal Powder (RRP $19.99) can not only be used to brush your teeth for whitening, but also as a face mask, bloat reduction (mix 1 tsp with water and drink), to relieve itching (mix with coconut oil and apply to area) and to even detox your armpits! I am keen to try this in a drink especially, as I’ve seen activated charcoal powder popping up in my favourite smoothie stores around town. And hey, nothing cooler than a black smoothie.
Cruelty Free – YES! Organic – YES! Vegan – YES! Aussie – YES!
Another item I’m excited to try is the Raw Body Skincare The Original RAW (RRP $18.95), a scrub containing only organic coffee grounds, organic coconut oil, Himalayan rock salt and organic coconut sugar. These types of natural coffee scrubs can be found pretty much anywhere, it’s pretty awesome that this company is based in Brisbane (where I live) so you know you are buying locally as well as mindfully.
Natural – YES! Cruelty Free – YES! Vegan – YES!
This brand was featured last month with their pain relief wipes, so I was stoked to see it appear again, this time with Amazing Oils Sports Recovery Wipes (RRP $19.95). I’m going to let my partner Shannon try out this round as I’ve been pretty slack at the gym over the last month. I used the pain relief wipe on the shoulder when experiencing a stiff neck last month and it worked pretty nicely.
Cruelty Free – YES! Natural/Organic – YES! Vegan – YES!
While I’m not the biggest fan of herbal tea, I’ve heard amazing things about Pukka Tea (RRP $7.95) so I am pretty excited to try them! My box came with two flavours – Detox (organic aniseed, fennel and cardamom) and Elderberry and Echinacea. While these flavours don’t really entice me, there are some amazing looking flavours on their website, so I am tempted to try some of the others out.
Vegan – YES! Organic – YES! Caffeine Free – YES!
