The February Edit: Japan, cruelty free, and getting back on track

posted in: LIFESTYLE, PERSONAL | 10

Happy March y’all! I’m writing this post a little later than I normally would. Mainly because I had an intense week back at work, and also because I’ve been a bit slack on the blogging front. No time like the present right?

February was a crazy month for me! The main awesomeness that made up the majority of February was travelling to Japan with one of my best friends and fellow blogger Dani! I cannot tell you how much fun we had and how much we absolutely loved Japan. It was such a great experience and I already can’t wait to go back again!

I’m hoping to release a few Travel Diary style posts, some travel tips for Japan and maybe a video as well. I’d love to know if these kind of posts would appeal to you, so let me know in the comments!

Also you may have seen my post about Going Cruelty Free for my beauty products from now on, and only promoting cruelty free products on my blog and instagram. This is of huge importance to me. If you don’t already know, I made the switch to a vegan diet almost a year ago and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. At the time, I decided to hold off on the cruelty free side of things because changing too many things at once is something that often makes me go back to bad habits.

But, after I was more comfortable with my vegan diet, I couldn’t ignore the horrors that happen within the beauty industry every single day. And, on a positive note, there are SO MANY amazing cruelty free brands I can help support and promote!

Lastly, getting back on track with not just the blog, but also my goals for the year is exciting. February was such a full on month with travelling and work that I have gotten inspiration back to get back to my long term goals for the year.

Hope you all had a great February as well! Leave a comment with your stand out from the month!

Yes that would be so good! I am already thinking I will head back with Shannon during sumo/baseball season and maybe climb Mt Fuji like you and James did ! So much to do there, it’s insane!

I saw a Pinterest post on cruelty-free beauty brands! While I myself am not actively promoting cruelty-free products, I always prefer buying makeup if it’s cruelty-free 🙂
